Comeback of the ties

During recessions we observe that the popularity of ties increases. Men feel its important to make a good representative impression, for example during interviews.

Also, purchasing a tie is less expensive than purchasing a suit. With various ties and 1 suit you can create a wonderful new look!

Jacquard silk ties

The term Jacquard comes up regularly in combination with ‘silk’. The Jacquard weaving technique is a special technique in which various thread colours are processed in 1 silk fabric, in a fantastic way. On the other hand we have printed fabrics: At first a plain silk fabric is woven and then the print is printed on it.

The term 'Jacquard' comes from the Frenchman Joseph-Marie Jacquard (1752-1834), inventor of the programmable loom. This loom was later called the Jacquard loom and the silk which was produced by means of this special technique is called Jacquard silk.

Skinny ties; the hottest fashion accessory!

Ties become narrower. Only a year ago a tie had a width of 3,6" or even 3,8 ". Nowadays the tie has a width of 3,2"  until 3,4".
Besides, narrow ties are quite the thing again! This Slimfit tie was very ‘hot’ in the fifties. Anyone who does not have it in his wardrobe today, does not have an up-to-date wardrobe. The average width of these narrow ties is 2,4"-2,8". The Slimfit tie usually has a plain colour: Black is the most popular colour for this tie.
